This is the sword of Linn Moorbound, a Marazian Fire-mage who proved invaluable in the Expansion Wars when the Zenith soldiers sieged the Marazian Capital and The Phoenix was called upon to turn the tide. Linn was responsible for securing the egg of The Phoenix after she fell in battle and played a crucial role in Doran's war against the Zenith; joining a regiment of Berserkers when she left Marazia to fight. After the war Linn culled supporters of the Zenith's God-King who were working on "jail breaks" during his trial by the international tribunal.

Linn could not have accomplished what she did without the magical blade that she uses are his casting implement. This blade, that was forged by The Phoenix hundreds of years ago, is not inherently magical; but being forged in The Phoenix Nest volcano infused it with magical energies of the leyline located there. It now works as an implement, a means to focus and amplify the magical energy within Linn Moorbound.
