As I am going through my journey of studying characters, I have struggled with how to get studies done as fast as possible. After a lot of trial and error, I think I have a process that's extremely quick and easy to replicate. Shadow Carving is an awesome process that I came across thanks to the great shape carver themselves Scott Flanders.
The main idea is to start with the main shapes of the figure and use them as a frame to paint light instead of lines and shadows. Afterward, you can overlay color. This allows you to be incredibly quick as nothing is precious enough to change. It's great if you see something you like and want to explore it conceptually.
For this image, I found a great piece while browsing art and wanted to try and tackle its pose.

Challenge accepted. Though I'll have to postpone it for a few days or weeks, let's just say I'm a BIT busy. I'm interested in this technique because I want to try art with fewer lines, and I've actually seen something similar before, so it'll be interesting to try it. Thanks for sharing! I look forward to seeing how it goes. I know for me, at first, it felt like I didn't know how to draw and it was hard to keep any proportion. Thankfully, though, I also got to see how easy it was to add and modify anything, and that made me think about design. Ideally, I think I'll use it mostly for concept art and character design!
