Ever since I went to the place depicted in the reference photo, I've wanted to make a render showing that specific area, as I find it really appealing. Those rocky arcs caught my attention the moment I saw them, and even though I haven't been able to exactly replicate them, I'm quite proud of how it eventually looked in the final render.
This is by far the most resource-expensive scene I've ever created, as you can see by the rocks, trees and other elements I've added for the sake of decoration. This time, trees aren't just made of simple planes, because this time I've decided to use a particle system in order to emulate leaves in a more accurate way. The water was also kind of a big deal mostly because at first I wasn't able to find the right way to make it look realistic. Being green, it's supposed to be a bit dirty, but that means the transparency will also change. I ended up with this water, with the alpha (transparency) property being set at 70%.
(All models and textures were made by me using Blender and GIMP)
