Most of the work in this image was done in Blender. I used the Eevee engine for a fast preview render time since I didn't want to bother with the low res and noisy previews that cycles give me. I took 4 cubes, placed them in a grid pattern, then went to edit mode to mess with their vertices. I placed an emission plane under the cube grid and made sure to let bloom do most of the coloring. I added more planes between and under the cube grid. I messed with the vertices of those planes so I could make random polygons to fill the empty space between the cubes.
I used GIMP to add more detail and the "SkiT" text. I also used GIMP's Shift and Video Degradation filters to emphasize the strange combo I made with retro and modern sounds in my track of the same name.
