99% of the work done was in Blender. This art is used as the cover art for my track "Blasted".
I looked up a reference image of a pillar online and modeled one pillar. I then used 2 Array modifiers to duplicate the lone Pillar into a perfect 26 by 26 grid. This ended up eating a lot of my computer's RAM which resulted in various crashes. I added a plane under the pillars with an easy checker texture. I also added in some fog to really sell the look of infinite pillars fading into the distance. There is also a depth of field effect added. The slight green/blue tint was a simple color tweak using the Sun Light in the scene. I rendered this still image. After rendering the image, I also rendered an animation where the only moving element was the camera itself. There is also some slight motion blur effect added to the animation that is not shown in this still image.
I had it render in Medium Contrast to give me flexibility to add it back in any specific amount I wanted in GIMP. For the last touch, I added a subtle vignette to make the image feel more presentable.
