A reference sheet for one of my online personas and my primary original character, Cybernik The Hedgehog, inspired by the Sonic series OFC. I decided to make this because I would always use the same 2 random pics I got from 2 other artists as references and expect people to just draw him right.

It's a little more comprehensive than those 2 pics atleast.

The image was originally replaced because the background was made under 1 minute with no care and thus was simple and kinda ugly. I still have the original and it can be viewed below.

Refer to this if you want to use my character in a work of fiction including writings or comics, just to be as accurate as possible to the character's abilities, backstory and personality.

If you're only here to draw him, don't bother reading this bullshit, just use the reference.

Cybernik was originally a mobian hedgehog who was captured and roboticised by the evil genius Hitler we all know Dr. Eggman aka Dr. Ivo Robotnik. He can't recall what happened between being captured and roboticised, but he is very resentful of what was done to him. He first tried to return back where he lived, but the townfolks from where he lived didn't recognise him and he was basically shunned out of there. He worked for Eggman for about a year before deserting him. (Eggman was the only person he could talk to, so that's why he stayed with him.)

Cybernik has a LED screen for eyes. The image displayed on it can change shape to anything he wants including diamonds, hearts and hell even literal portraits. The crystal on his chest and by extension his LED lights change colour depending on his mood.

Blue/Azure (Most common): For simple emotions like him being content, serious or thoughtless. 

Cyan: For simple, yet strong emotions other than those noted above like calmness of mind or delight. This is usually followed after the LED lights turned either Red or Yellow.

Green (2nd most common): For strong positive emotions like happiness or playfulness. When Cybernik is sarcastic or mocking, it also defaults to this colour.

Yellow: Anytime he has an emotion that calls for an adrenaline rush like fear or panic.

Red: For strong negative emotions like anger, hatred or genuine malice.

Pink: Whenever he feels attachment to someone or he thinks of something fondly.

Magenta: For strong melancholic emotions like sadness or overthinking.

If he feels multiple opposing emotions simultaneously, the LED lights can produce a mixture of multiple colours. If Cybernik is both serious and happy, his LED will be coloured Cyan. So that must mean his LED can also turn white, right? Technically yeah it's possible, but it won't ever happen. How can anyone feel every emotion ever all at the same time?

Abilities

Tier: Somewhere about 6-C "Island Level"

Offence :

(+)Cybernik has a plethora of fighting extensions that he uses to his best. Firstly, both of his hands can turn into cannons and vice-versa, those cannons can shoot powerful lasers, electric beams and even strong bursts of air, but he can also use them to shoot whatever he wants, from explosives to funny cartoon punching gloves. Lastly, his hands are detachable and connected to Cybernik by a wire, allowing him to do physical damage at distance or catch something quickly. Cybernik can use the homing attack, the spindash and he curls into a ball with large razor spikes while jumping.

(-)Other than the cannons and other simple abilities, Cybernik has really not that much he can use in fighting. He can use his fists and kicks of course, but if there is lethal intent between him or his target, they're not that useful at all (Aside from a stranglehold I guess).

Defence :

(+)His entire metal body is made of titanium as well as steel which gives him an innate resistance against heat. Cybernik will likewise survive strong air pressure thanks to his metallic body, but also because he was built to be very dense in the inside.

(-)He has however a massive weak point, the crystal in his chest acts as his battery, if it is broken or stolen he will fall unconscious immediately. Regardless of that, Sonic and his friends could still theoretically destroy him completely since they are able to break through thick layers of steel or ground as shown in the games and comics. His robotic body is not waterproof and will short-circuit if submerged. Cybernik doesn't have any feature that gives him any sort of defensive advantage unlike many others of Robotnik's best robots, most notably Metal Sonic which can create electric sparks that can be used both defensively and offensively.

Agility :

(+)Cybernik is not very fast on foot and jumps about as high as you would expect, but he's equipped with rocket shoes which he uses to propel himself forward at high speeds or fly in the sky where he'd be safe. His legs can stretch out which gives him a tactical advantage if he needs to be stealthy, but also needs a lot of height to see where he is or where he needs to go.

(-)But, even with the shoes, he is not nearly as fast as Sonic. His gear only propels him at about 300 MPH at most. This is enough to outrun most dangerous things on Mobius though.

Misc :

(+)Cybernik is far more intelligent and cunning than several of the canon characters, notably Metal Sonic. For example, if a gate is closed in on him, he doesn't stay right behind it waiting for Eggman to kill him off like he accidentally did to Metal in Sonic CD. He can also build robots on his own, although they are generally not that great anyways. He'd use those robots as bait rather than for fighting. Even though he can feel physical pain, his armour has a toggle option that allows him to turn off his pain receptors.

(-)Cybernik is very emotional and sentimental which can cloud his judgements. His LED lights may reveal his true intentions.
