Human: I've been drawing more humans lately. In "Hunters of Giants," there aren't any humans, so I don't feel as pressured to make any character look human-like. As I was drawing this character again (the NSFW patrons will know her as Nagamazon), I noticed that my style of drawing humans was morphing/changing!
Sculpting Human: One of my inspirations for my art style is Greek and Roman sculptures. Think of art pieces like the Statue of David and the Venus De Milo. I love the full and defined bodies of that era of art. You can even see it in their paintings. I never really thought of faces though...
Start/Sculpt With Circles: I usually start my heads with circles in order to block out a pose. Recently, I've been drawing out the head either in or out of the circle. In the examples in my sketch, you can see the left head was created the head around the circle, while the right head was drawn in the circle. I like to think of it as sculpting, with the circle or any other shapes being used to block out the composition being my material(clay, marble, etc.), and I add or subtract matter from it.
