Mourning at Twilight

Share

As day ends and night falls a lone survivor mourns the loss of his love and only companion in a desolate world, unaware of her spirit watching over him.
Original line art belongs to Josiah Brooks (aka Jazza)

Edit: Desaturated the colors and lightened the ghost. Thought she felt too solid before.

Clever interpretation, I think this creates an idea not only of loss but hope, that the world and life continues on even without the most beautiful of people. Well done!

I think you piece is so incredible! I love the color palette you chose and I really like how you faded the ghost.

Cortexiphan7 responds:

Thank you!

I feel like there's a lot of different colors going on that don't match quite well. The rubble turned out Great. I like how you defined the rocks and the shine of the metal in the bottom right.

Cortexiphan7 responds:

I think all the colors were too bright before. I've toned them down and I think it works a lot better now. Thanks for the feedback!
