Odd couple for sure, but apparently they make it work. And I bet a lot of it has to do with that tongue.
Very little is known about the mysterious, amphibious monster, Croak, due in large part to his ravenous appetite and frightening precision with his tongue. Those who venture too deeply into he and his wife's lair are quickly caught by the slimy appendage and swallowed whole in whatever frightening maw hides behind that mask.
How this frog monster came to wed anything, let alone a SPIDER, is a story for another time.
