It turned out that there was another Gym Leader visiting Galar from a different Region. And it was none other than the 8th one from Johto, Clair herself. The reason she had come here was for a few reasons. One was due to getting stronger after hearing about the strong trainers here. Also she needed a vacation herself. And after hearing how her cousin Lance was taking one, Clair decided to do one as well. But not in the same area as him while he visited the place near Nicholas and Corrine. So this was a better thing to do and plus she had never been to Galar. And the Gym Leader had managed to arrive in Hammerlocke. It had been quiet a long flight and the only thing that would be done was meeting up with the Gym Leader here who would show and help Clair around. At first she wasn't sure until learning that it would be the Eight Gym Leader who also used Dragon types like her. Plus he and the ex-champion Leon had a rivalry from what she heard and it was a bit similar to her situation when it came to Lance. Plus apparently he had designed his outfit and Gym Trainers off of his outfit. So these were more than enough to make Clair agree to having him help and show her around. 

She got off at the train station, pleased to finally be here and walked out into the city. Lucky the large castle at the center was easy to spot from all corners and near the entrance was where she would meet up with him. Her luggage was being dragged behind in rollaway suitcases and there were two of them with a small third one on top. At least the walking was a good way to stretch her legs. Clair made it to the entrance where the nearby Pokemon Center was. And there standing out side and waiting with his Rotom phone was the Gym Leader himself. Clair recognized him by the name of Raihan by the information she had been provided with by Nicholas and Corrine. He then looked up as if on cue and knew it was her having received that information by the said Trainers themself. "Hey you made it!" he said cheerfully with a wave and walked over. "Welcome to Galar and Hammerlocke. You must be Clair. I'm Raihan."

She got a good look at him. The guy seemed okay. But she could sense a powerful battling spirit inside him of wanting to win. "I accept the welcome," she replied and they shook hands. However the female human was still on guard. Due to her personality she was certain to show this Raihan that she was the better Dragon Master. But for now, she could be friendly to him. At least she didn't have to wait on the guy.

"I have to say this is pretty exciting!" Raihan said with his smile. "I'm actually talking with the Clair herself. I'm sure we'll have a great time." Clair wasn't so certain but would try to make the best of things. At least here without Lance would help.
