Ah yes, Deadlock, a concept that came out well in my book. This is my Hellsona/Hazbinsona. After posting an oddball Hazbin Hotel character, I figured it was right to post this concept I had been sitting on since June 2020. While this is my Hellsona, this also doubles as my Hazbinsona. But what is the deal with Deadlock?

Deadlock occurs when I die...violently. If I were to ever get shot or stabbed, I would end up back in Hell as this. There would also be a phase where my memories need to come back in, so I wouldn't be able to recall who I am. Deadlock is basically what my emotional side would look like if it was personified. Now what about the rank? Following the events of me becoming a resident of Hell*, I was granted the title of Prince due to the duties and honors I held in Heaven (Being a Hunter Angel). While not something I'd flaunt, it is there...okay maybe there'd be a little bragging here and there.

Despite appearing the way he does, Deadlock has more interests than just latex. He's into video games, anime, trading cards, and drawing. He also tends to tussle, as when you're a prince of Hell, people tend to knock on your door more often than they should. Deadlock doesn't really do anything aside from his hobbies as he is pretty easy going. Typically other demons just ignore him and go about their business...barring obvious exceptions. Now if Deadlock does get into a fight, he can easily hold his own. His body is like a living sword, with blades being able to emerge from anywhere on his body. Being a Fallen Angel also gives an edge against anyone trying to use Angelic weaponry. And lastly, Deadlock is know for being pretty wild and unpredictable in battle.

* - Alright, context time: before becoming a resident of Hell, Will (me) was an angel of Heaven. After a petty disagreement with Archangel Uriel, Will left Heaven and then hit reality at the wrong angle. Upon coming too, Will was discovered by Lucifer and taken Hell. Lucifer would take care of Will for sometime until he could find him a family to live with.

Chaotic, that sounds like some important lore. Why is it just a footnote? Well simple, I need to redo the upload on DA that had that lore and add more to it.

Why yes, that is a latex suit. And yes, I am trying to invoke Jotaro Kujo's freaking hat situation, haha.

This drawing was a pain to color because I just had to go above and beyond and add the rock Deadlock is sitting on. I also shot myself in the foot by drawing this on paper first. I don't have a graphics tablet, so I draw with paper and pencil. I then take it into an art program and trace over it to make a clean lineart. The consequence is that I don't have an expandable canvas to work with. Why don't I get a graphics tablet? Bruh, the ones with screens are expensive and I need to see what I'm drawing when I draw. I don't well with non-screen tablets.

Regardless, I really like Deadlock and I like how he turned out.
