The Knights are protectors of their king and queen. Made by those same people they will come in small hoards and try to overwhelm their victims. When they succeed they will do 1 of 2 things, kill them on the spot and use their corpses as food to continue going or will capture the victim and drag them back to the dungeons. The dungeons also has 1 of 2 things that can happen, starving to death and going back to becoming food or they will turn you into a new knight and rank you off of how good in combat you are. If you're decent you become a white knight, when you're above average you will become a black knight and when you're the best of the best you become a golden knight. The highest rank of the knights. The process of becoming a knight is strange, you will be strapped down into the central chamber of the castle and slowly but surely have your consciousness drained from you. After your body becomes a mindless husk the Queen will use some form of dark magic to rebirth your body into a state of transfiguration which would be that of a bipedal horse to fit with their chess attire. Once complete, your head is then chopped off your shoulders and replaced with a stone knight chess piece to ensure not an ounce of your mind can make it back inside where it once resided making you an obedient guard for your majesties. A note about how the Knights attack: their sword is the biggest weakness as they can take a while to swing it leaving them open to attack for a second and if you're able to get them to slam it into the ground then you can leave them defenceless for a few seconds.
