I assumed this place a community. A hub of open minded individuals. A complex of artists, talents and intrigue. A haven of character to be built. Hell, I should have looked closer at the cover title. I might have missed the " Only porn, fuck anything else. " part. A thousand voices can say the same words, and a thousand hands can draw the same image. That does not invalidate those that do not follow. Furaffinity and the likes are not a hub of only depravity. If we allow the excuse of " Well so many people do it, this is what it is. " We've accepted a singular path.

" People prefer more 'realistic' kinds of art. You should try more common grounds otherwise you might confuse them. "

Drawing a bowl of fruit is all the rage. I don't mind studying the world around us and lord knows once upon a time I used to sketch tree branches, buildings and the sort. It's alright to taste a different side of your creativity. Only when you want to though. Common grounds...? Maybe your head needs to hurt sometimes. It means you're being challenged. Everyone enjoys a nice bit of challenge don't they? Otherwise a bit of meaning is lost a long the way. Should we degrade the integrity of our views on the grounds that, simply put, someone does not wish to take the time to understand? Take some of my flame, we'll light the world together. That to me is realistic.

I'm not trying to be successful. When I pick up the pages of my work, I do not see a future. I do not see dollar signs or luxuries. I see right now. I see getting the things off my mind like puffing a cigarette to get the edge off. ( No I don't smoke. ) I see the potential of the imagery and words reaching out to someone and making them think " Hey, maybe I should try my hand at more work that I find meaningful too. " I'm saying this for the few out there that still face that challenge. I'm not out here to step on people's heads and hold a flag up as if I am a king. I'm just a single man who prefers that starving life style while he vomits out his work. Lord knows my only joy is hearing what others might think.

In a world where acceptance is found in the validation of pure favor, everything looks and sounds the same, and money is the end means of happiness as well the definition of success, I would rather bury my work and call it there.
