For a while I've had this idea that stop-motion would be the best medium to adapt the manga BLAME! into film. I feel like the grime and grit of physical models would serve the infinitely sprawling concrete environments of BLAME! extremely well. Considering I don't really have the skills or access to make real stop motion, I figured that in my off time I'd make a proof of concept 3D animation that looks as close to stop motion as possible. A while ago I put together the first shot of this prospective adaptation, and what u see here is a still from it. Hopefully one day I'll have enough free time to finish up the other shots and upload the whole thing. I'm adapting a short, simple chapter of the manga, so It's scoped p low. I don't often dabble in photo-realism or high-fidelity stuff, so this has been a p fun break from the usual for me.
