Brilliant and really the art looks like a fruit of your patience
Hey out there! This is my contest entry for the "Draw with Jazza" November 2017 Challenge of the month, Under The Surface. This will be my first ever challenge, and I'm super excited. I had a great time working on this guy, even with a bit of a time crunch and some bumps in the road. Overall, I'm happy to be here on Newgrounds, sharing my art with people.
When I started this guy, I had sort of just thrown him together on some watercolor paper, intending to actually watercolor him. That didn't end up happening in the long run, and I've since changed a lot of the physical aspects of him. For example, in his early stages, he sported way more tentacles than he has now. This piece has gone through a sort of evolution in all stages of his composition. There were many things that I kept, and many things that had to go for the sake of time. Because of this, I feel like I slacked on the background too. Hopefully, I can someday post him in his full glory.

(I really hope that's right because I'm a bit scared of not getting in due to technical difficulties.)
Good day and happy sketching.
Edit: I totally forgot to say what I was going for with this piece. I wanted to convey the aspect of having a green, muted, natural setting above the water, but have a more bold, colorful, living look to the creature beneath the waves. Sorry about that. Tactical hiccup.
