September 12, 1952 in Flatwoods, West Virginia, a meteor crashed into a local hill side. A group of 3 boys, brothers Edward and Fred May, and their friend Tommy Hyer mistakenly believed it to be an alien craft. With the aid of Kathleen May (the mother), local children Neil Nunley and Ronnie Shaver, and Eugene Lemon; the group trespassed upon G. Bailey Fishers property to invest the supposed craft. On their way there, they were met with a massive 10 foot tall monster with a red face and spade-shaped head. In fear, the group immediately ran away as it approached them. Although in reality, it was nothing more than a misidentified barn owl mother; what if it wasn't?

The Flatwoods monster is a large insectoid creature that comes from a low gravity planet. It has a mantis-like body and owl-like face. On the night of September 12, its crash landed onto earth in which was mistaken for a meteor. The creature inside wore a large suit that allowed it to travel the higher gravity of Earth by hovering with 5 large thrusters. This better suits later fabrications of the monster being a reptilian humanoid in a space suit, like the Frametown monster. Screw you Frametown
