The blob-like organisms seen that are sapient amoeba-like extraterrestrials. They have soft semi-translucent bodies and move similarly to slugs although considerably faster. They seemingly have no visible eyes or a mouth. Not much is known about these beings or where they came from. Their aggressive behavior that night could be a sign of their true nature or a desperate cry for help...
