The Four of Pentacles represents saving money, security, conservatism, scarcity, or control. Inverted it can also mean over-spending, greed, or self-protection.

Beyond the boundaries of one's hometown lay the ruins of past. Archeological ruins to be precise. And it is beyond the ancient ruins we find Eva with a pretty big find. Four large golden disks. Were they plates? Coins? Ritualistic artifacts enchanted by some ancient being? Who knows. But for some reason, the disks are calling out to her. They are precious, they must be held tight. Do not let go.

Before she realizes she's even doing it, her arms are wrapped tightly around a disk as if she fears she may lose it if she loosens her grip. She balances another pentacle on her head, unknowingly impeding her connection with spirit, and two more sit securely underneath her feet. She doesn't want anyone to take them, they call to her. Clearly she doesn’t want anyone to take them away from her, but now she finds she cannot move or go anywhere. She has no one to speak to, not even the friends and family members in the community behind her. She finds herself stuck in one place with a singular fixation. The golden disks.

Eva felt herself holding the disk closer to her body as she found herself squatting down in an effort to be closer to the disks. Closer, closer now. She felt herself being drawn deeper and deeper into a trance. The Disks. The Disks. The Disks. The Disks. The-

Until her trance was broken when she heard a very loud tearing sound.

As comfy as it was to work while wearing old sweatpants, the poor fabric had its limits. Cute lion printed panties! Rawr!

With the spell on her broken, Eva wonders what came over her that made her grasp the disks like that. Unfortunately, she now will have to bear the humiliation of walking back from the dig site with a massive hole in her pants.
