Back in 1997, a 6-year-old kid saw this (in)famous scene from GODZILLA VS MEGALON (via HOLLYWOOD DINOSAURS), and he’s wanted more Godzilla (and kaiju) ever since. It’s about damn time he did fan art of it.
I also felt like making a painting that was on the sillier side. We artists take our craft seriously, but that doesn’t mean the subject matter has to be serious. Most of my paintings have been on the serious side, so this ought to shake things up a tad.
Plus, I got to give these 11x17 canvases I got at Five Below a shot. I can finally make 11x17 prints of one of my paintings without having to do any special cropping/resizing.
