Reviews for "The Darkness Suite"

cool

smooth soft and dark very nice very nice job maby you could try adding some strings in your next song?

MJTTOMB responds:

I can certainly add strings in a piano piece sometime, but for this suite in particular, I'd like to stick with solo piano.

hmm

A good song, yet somewhat similar to other things ive heard. I believe you quite harshly criticised a certain JAZZA piece, neglecting it for its lack of whatever and musical complication shit. personally, i think you seem to be challenging him in a way, almost competing with him, and putting it out loud that his piece is overated, but thats only for the reason that he made a top scoring animation to go with it. i think u seem pretty biased... although i like the piece, if you want to be ehard like he was, the best way to grab attention is an animation to corrupt the top 50s... thats newgrounds for u. a nice piece tho. a bit muffled on sum bits.

MJTTOMB responds:

I was harsh on him, yes. Am I biased? No. I was honest. Sadly, the truth can be tough. Any music teacher would dismiss that song inadequate. But hey, I guess whatever pleases the crowd. Many other classical musicians, who will go unnamed, for the sake of them not having to deal with hate, agree with me. It is, by far, overrated.

But on the other hand, thanks for the review.

Regards, mate.

good

I love the piano composition you did here. Maybe a bit empty and passive, but that does add to a creepy, still calm feeling. From the 1:40 the reverb does drown the notes of the reverb out, so it sounds like a messy bass thing or something. Since you have nothing else than a piano, the piece does turn out boring and not something I'd like listening from start to end a lot of times. But it would do great for some emotional background music

MJTTOMB responds:

YAY! AN HONEST REVIEW!

Not the most favorable word I've heard, but hey, they help!

Thanks for reviewing, I'll try and fix some of the reverb problems you mentioned.
