Reviews for "The Necromancer Episode 1"

Partholian empire

Wait... he's rebuilding the Partholian empire? Right... the Partholian empire. Oh... the Partholian empire will be rebuilt. The partholian empire.
Couldn't help it. The series has a lot of potential. Though this one was repetative, and you could use a few more people to do voices, and you really don't need to name the spell being cast, and it was repetative... I liked it. I'll be waiting.

It is pure evil..

The necromancer is TOO strong! It can just cast a spell than BAM it kills them in an instant!!the animation gets kind of crappy too and the voice acting was so cheezy it made me laugh!Try harder next time..I IS ONLY BE WANTING TO HELP..:P((It's not that original either..!))

Not quite front age material

I like it - the story line - the inplay of role playing style spells and charecters - but it's not quite front page material.
Obviously the graphics aren't the best and many of the sound effects are standard overused online FX - still I like the innocence of the artists rendition. Not too amazing with the artistry but he got his story on the screen and found a starting point.
Also, there is promise here - some of the faces were well drawn and well shaded. If the artist simply learns some new flash techniques and takes more time on the graphics, we could see some great stuff.
My suggestions: try playing with the line size of the silhouettes of your charecters in respect to the lines used for internal lines and facial features. Also, get away from the gradient shading - You can use it here and there but too much makes it look hacky.
Overall -- I like it. 'Nuff said.

Xpected a bit more

I liked the flick. Not bad animation, interesting story, but this episode seemed kind of pointless. I never really learned much about the main character. Most of the cartoon is spent with him killing people, rather than consentrating on the plot. If he's going to kill someone, it should help him get one step closer to the empire. Douglas wasn't much of a threat, so I don't count him as a "plot-kill". However, that won't stop me from watching the next ones. This was entertaining, despite the reckless and sometimes repetetive killing.

Gahh

Anyway, I thought I would review episode 1.
I love how you just make the main character be so bold, he's like "Please stop this senseless bloodshed" after killing a guy for one of his horses. The plot you have is so entirely blurry that you fail to bring up any background. What year is this? Where is this taking place? Details, thanks.
