Reviews for "Ice And Fire Tower Defence"

Cheesy and unbalanced, almost like those game where u start as a caveman, u know?

octopus58 responds:

Is it bad that to this day I never played that game

Tiresome at best. Not entertaining at all. Mechanics are totally off when it comes to troop strength and tower strength.

can't believe how bad the interactions between sprites and projectiles feel. feels like something from early 90's flash but not in a good way.

This game has some charm, but I feel like it falls hard on some flaws that thug of wars games tend to have. In other words, at some points, or especially the end game, the game is a real slugfest, because you have so much money but can't do much other than send more troops and stockpile a large amount of cash you won't be able to spend. Units don't feel very diversified, and there's no reason to use the previous one once you unlocked the later ones. There's also no way to strategize much with how straightforward the game is. Straightforward battlefield, straightforward upgrades, straightforward choice of turrets, and straightforward unit behavior.

In any case, it still looks pretty neat.

Thank you for the review! I understand your reasoning. From my perspective, I tried to make the game a little more beginner friendly, as when I was very young I found TD games intimidating and didn't want to play them because of that, so I guess that's why some things seem a bit "straight forward" kinda. However I do think there is some strategy to late game! Besides myself, when I watched others play some people took something like 15 minutes at the last phase, while some others took like max 5, just depending on how they decided to spawn their units, in what order, with specific spacing, etc..

i mean, i cant win

octopus58 responds:

Thanks for playing the game! Yeah, the end game can get pretty hard... I left some tips in the description, but my suggestions:

- Space out your soldiers efficiently enough to prevent all of them getting defeated at once
- If you are playing as team ice, spawn enough of Golanaur to push the fire team to the end while backing up with Shokeeh to get some longer range shots. Wait until you have enough to spawn the last ice summon to sweep all of the opponents away with a laser and get even closer.
- If you are playing as team fire, spawn enough of Gwion to get to even a bit half way of the stage, and have Pugotik from behind throwing his projectile attack. You can be safer and summon Put'bi (the last summon for fire) to sweep the stage, or summon Vechka (third summon) to risk clearing the stage for a lower cost.

I hope this helps!!
