Reviews for "Starship Goldfish Pilot"

Super entertaining! I always like characters with -worth names too, so you've got my support sir/mam.

So, I liked it enough to watch the storyboard animation on YouTube, but the main character... It's just too much lolsorandom. He somehow got to be a captain, people don't get to be captain by being completely incompetent and massive liabilities. He could still be reckless and have an addiction for action without being a complete and utter buffoon.

Really like the animation and it's paced really nicely. Love when a cartoon can take time to breathe. Main dude feels like generic imbecile anti-hero, but the other characters are neat.

Not bad at all.

Forgoing the animation altogether as it is effectively functional and visual conveyance is not an issue...

Pros:

- The humor is not the worst. There's a few bits in there which are definitely worth a giggle in there.
- Continuity and transitions are wonderfully employed. The transitions in particular are super smooth and never at any point have I felt detached from what was going on. This is good storytelling.
- The way the premise is trickled in is at a healthy pace. Pacing (going back to good storytelling) can literally make or break something.

Cons:

- The characters seem functional but appear to be bland archetypes. The blonde dude is some dildo captain that is borderline Zaphod Beeblebrox, just not as cool.
-- The robot is competent, albeit frustrated and doesn't possess sufficient authority to make things go as he wants.
-- The girl that is met very early on is sufficiently smart but absolutely desperate due to her circumstance.

I imagine that Final Space is indeed something that dampens the steam behind this series/production/etc.... But I am definitely curious what you plan to do with it.

There's a rather large smorgasbord of ideas and concepts in the wild that truly make it a profusely difficult challenge to come up with something original- but I find that chalking up the main protagonist to be a bit of a dimwit is old and dated. There's definitely better possibilities out there.

Anyhow, keep at it. Definitely want to see what else you can cook up :)

Okay the animation and effects are obviously outstanding nothing to say about that.

But I find the characters not that interesting. The protagonist is so incredibly braindead that it's just simply not funny anymore, at least not for me.

And the story is basically, main characters are now bounty hunters and have to kill evil guy. It sounds like a generic video game plot.

I don't like these shows that trying to be super random to be funny in order to not have to put any thought into the story.
