Reviews for "No Hexy"

Very interesting and sad concept, but I would, as already mentioned down below, suggest you to add different choices/paths. Other than that, good game.

Sad story.

Not bad, but needs choices and different endings

Hello,
I don't know if this review will be read, and if it is, I don't know that it will be taken in the spirit that it is offered... I felt like I had to let you know my two cents, though.

I like your concept, and I like your execution, barring the issue of speed... the game is far too slow, which might be interpreted as a 'fix' for lack of content. The design is clean, and the idea is sound, but there is one glaring problem, to my mind.

I don't know if English is your first language, but I wonder if you're familiar with the phrase "being beaten over the head with it"? I think this story could have been told with far less hand-holding and dialogue reinforcement; I think the cinema maxim "show, don't tell" holds here. *Show* us Hexy's conflicts, but don't *explain* exactly what's happening at every turn, it makes us feel like we're being spoon-fed. We get it, Francisco, really.

That being said, I think that the potential is there for much better content in the future. I wouldn't have written this review if I didn't think you had a good foundation for future projects. *Trust* your audience, though. We can hear you, and we don't need to have things drawn out for us quite so exhaustively. Show us what's happening, and we will get it.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way. I hope to see further efforts.

Nice idea, but with some faster texts and more choice this could be a better game.

I mean, you want to spread a message, to symbolize the struggle of finding yourself when not accepted in society. Then why don't you make more puzzle-things like that one in the end? Why don't you put in some choices, which side the player might prefer (keepin' it real, become someone of the others, be a psychopath, become isolated for example). You could get more out of this story here.
