Very good game deserving of the Daily Feature.
Good:
1. The deduction system was great, both in execution and logic of the proofs
2. Graphics were nostalgic
3. Length and challenge level were just right
4. Attention to detail
5. No pixel hunting
6. Built-in hint system in case the player got stuck (I never needed to use it though)
Bad:
1. I answered all of the questions correctly in the beginning, but after I beat the game it said that I only got 6/7 and that "The crime is of small importance to the police" was WRONG, even though all signs were that that was the correct line of reasoning
2. I think it would be better during asking witnesses about evidence that if, after I click on Evidence that didn't elicit any useful information from the witness, instead of going back to the dialogue and have to click on Consult Notes and Ask About Evidence again just to ask about a different piece of evidence, I could go back to the Notebook instead and be able to click on a different piece of evidence immediately, and save the player many clicks during the game.
3. Why isn't it possible to quit the game during gameplay?
One more possible area of improvement is adding "red herring" evidence that shouldn't get used and wouldn't be logical in the deductions, just like how clues in the real detective world aren't always relevant to the case.
I would definitely like to see more episodes of self contained cases like this one for this franchise in the future. Good work!
