Fun game and the graphics are nice! But as the people said below, it's not challenging enough to kill the enemies! Nice game though :) good job!

Thanks so much for the play and review. I have uploaded a new version of the game that is a bit harder in the first level.
Hopefully it finds the sweet spot of not being too hard as a opening level and not too easy to turn people away.
Fun game, and fairly challenging from the start.
The visuals kind of clash, so some things look really out of place compared to others. Also it makes it a little harder to see things. The cluttered enemies on screen made it hard to see powerups coming my way.
I have a couple of major complaints though. The stupidly long tip screens almost made me quit immediately. They need to be removed and put in their own menu item OR let me just skip through them. I timed the first one and it took 40 seconds just to start playing. The worst part is it plays every single time. Adding on to that, the slow fade between menus is tedious.
The other is the dumb UI. I don't need the controls sitting on screen, and it's distracting having the special attack prompt show up in the middle of the screen every single time.
You should have the "Special Ready" icon at the bottom of the screen near the player so it's out of the way, yet easy to see. Not in the top left with a middle of the screen prompt.
Minor complaints are make the UI prettier. The plain white text is nice, but it would look a lot better if it wasn't just floating over the screen or had some background to it.
Apart from that it was a lot of fun.

Not bad, but it needs work. Most enemies die pretty easily, so there isn't a whole lot of challenge.

Sorry you felt the game was too easy. I did notice that you did not even earn the medal for getting to the second level. I just timed myself and it took me less than 3 minutes to earn that medal.
The first level is designed to be easy to teach you the game. Things heat up in the levels after.
Maybe try again and play more than 2 minutes!! You might just like it!!
