Reviews for "Triangle Sweeper"

This is much better than minesweeper itself, you never run into a situasion where luck is the only option, it's all about math.. I LOVE IT!

Niborious7 responds:

Thank you! This is exactly why I made this game. I loved playing minesweeper for the math and logic and never really liked the luck part. Triangle sweeper has more potential for evaluating the logic and relationships in the tile space, and if you understand that the edges are safe, you can beat almost any puzzle.

Interesting game

So that was interesting it was a bit confusing at first but the tutorial does help, the graphics and interface could look smoother and more detailed besides all that this was a decent little game you have here and the medals were nice anyways nice game.

~X~

I like the concept of the game and it's fun to play, but it has a few bugs:

I got a game over while on pause. Apparently, you can still click tiles by accident while pausing and if you have the horrible luck of hitting the bomb, then sucks to be you. 10 Minutes wasted on an almost finished level because of that.

I finished a medium-sized level immediately after finishing a small-sized level and didn't get my medal. 11 minutes and 30-ish seconds wasted on that one. I think it's because I just hit "next" instead of going through the menu, but that's an hypothesis.

Fix those bugs please.

Niborious7 responds:

You were right about the pause bug. I just updated the game to fix it.
I'm not sure about your medal issue.
Edit:
I believe I fixed the medals issue, it now checks and handles if your session is expired before posting.

I just didn't find it all that interesting. I don't see much point in playing this when the original is on most computers for free. However, the idea of using triangles made it much less boring than if you had just used squares. All in all, it is not a bad game, just not as great as the actual minesweeper

Niborious7 responds:

Triangles are less boring than squares, but the original is greater?
I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are trying to say.
If you enjoy minesweeper, then this game is a cool new perspective with different spacial relationships. The game was designed to highlight the logic and figuring out side of minesweeper and to minimize luck by making the edges of the map safe.

First game: Click once, straight up a mine. "Sure that happens"
Second game: Click once, mine again. "Um okay"
Third game: Click once, mine.
Fourth game: Click once, 5. "Least it's a proper game" Second click, mine. "oh."

And it went on like that for a while. It's a bit harder with triangles, but shitty luck/skills doesn't help either

Niborious7 responds:

I agree that that feeling is pretty annoying when you start a game. That's why the edges of the board are always safe. I say this in the description and in how to play, but I suppose its not necessarily explicit. Mostly because you can still play the game without knowing especially if you use the common minesweeper tactic of starting with the corners. However, because the edges are safe, the middle of the board is more dense. I could add an option to start a game with the edges already clicked, or just be more straightforward in telling people that its part of the game.
