Reviews for "Forgotten Hill: Puppeteer"

Great game on some of the puzzles and the theme was just creepy and I don't creep easily. Loved it!

Some of the puzzles were a little vague in trying to understand and I had to use the walkthrough on two of the puzzles, but the rest took some patience and was easy to figure out with some of the items you acquire.

After I figured out that you need to slash the posters to get clues, I was able to work through everything pretty well. I just wish that had been clearer from the beginning. I spent a lot of time walking back and forth not sure what to do.
But overall, I loved the atmosphere and enjoyed to game.

The atmosphere in this game is great. The puzzles were pretty abstract, but I was able to beat it on my own after thinking for a while. The clues at times could be subtle, but I was able to discern the patterns without a walkthrough. Keep it up man!

like many said before me, this game has absolutely marvelous atmosphere, great graphics, the music is spot on, but it all means nothing if you can't actually play the game. it needs to be clever, not super hard. I want to think, not follow a walkthrough, and at some point it became impossible, and quite early as well. (take the coat puzzle, I just copied the walkthrough and I don't even know the solution. and the skulls and blood? what was that all about?) basically, it's great that you put so much effort into the artistic level of the game, but I don't want to watch a walkthrough, I want to play.

While the game has good atmosphere, and decent mechanics, there are not nearly enough hints. Things are way too abstract in the game. I figured out how to get the green beetle, figured out the Bell puzzle for the eye. After that it all went downhill. Could not find any clues at all for the drink machine, had to force the coat puzzle for the picture, zero idea what the blood and skull puzzle is beside it; assuming it has to do with the card game? and no idea what the deal is with the puppet card game. It has the potential to be good, but it's WAY too abstract. I'm a person that refuses to cheat or use guides. So here you go, the balance for the game is way off.
