Cute game. The way I died though made me feel like I saw it coming a mile away and couldn't do anything to stop it. The second floor boss took me to 4 hp and I only needed 1 more fight to level up and fully heal... but I used all my scrolls on the boss, had no way to heal, and as far as I can tell defending only lasts 1 turn so it wasn't going to help me. Kind of a cruel way to go.

The final boss in Hard mode really need a lot of forethougth, and even by been able to choose 20 damage each time, you must choose carefully your action each turn or you're done. Although I feel frustrated for dying the firsts times, I comeback for more and I don't feel dissapointed.

Ha ha, a bit misleading to be sure, but you do eventually improve your ability to actually choose the numbers AND there are some items that improve your choosing abilities.
Nice artstyle, sound and item variety.
Green idol x 3 makes the game much easier, so much so that you can skip entire floor by choosing 0 enemies.
Bat'leth with green idols gives easy 20 damage that is enough to steamroll any boss (you will need buffs and stuns for later bosses though).
Treasure are mostly pointless, as you can get all the best items on one floor.
Always go for red permanent skill buff scroll.
