Well, pretty nice game, but I had a little bug, I can't change my shoots , only shuriken and when I press D it does nothing (and my octopus slip a little in some plataforms :( ) but is a great game and you have my vote in Greenlight n_n

You've got my vote. It's good to see people still paying homage to old-style gaming, and putting hard work and love into a product. Don't compromise your vision!
The action shows promise. When I got the missiles, I felt like I was playing Metroid. :D
As the others say, I'd tighten up the character control a bit, but that's polish. I can't really comment on your story ideas, as this is just a linear demo, but I do like the personality and humor I've seen thus far.
Watch the mechanics. The idea of refilling special weapons by killing enemies seems a little odd, unless they respawn.

They will always respawn if you leave the room and come back. Certain rooms can let you farm pretty well (like the room before the Shuriken room with the Shieldy, you can quickly kill him repeatedly.)
This game is pretty good and has plenty of potential, but I cant't get past the three columns where you read the plato signs.
