Reviews for "Zombie Society - Death after death #3/3"

Rushed, but strangely satisfying conclusion. Especially so because of the multiple endings.

Muja responds:

Thank you. I know it might appear rushed, but I didn't intend to stretch it out more. considering this is already much bigger than the previous episodes, with more pages, alternative endings and all.

Still hope it was a fun ride :)

Loved this series!

Muja responds:

Thanks a lot, from the whole team :)

I rarely post a five-star review. Creativity, story, execution, humor, playability, music, visuals were all great. The click the magnifying glass action was annoying.

Muja responds:

Thank you for your nice review!
And I'm sorry about the magnifying glass bit... I wanted to convey the feeling of a detective with keen eyes who can notice little details. I'll think of something else for my next games.

Thanks again!

I thought that it was great. A few grammatical mistakes, but not enough to squabble about. I'm sure that you probably had a few different ideas for the endings, and ultimately settled on these. These were great in their own right, and I respect your decision. I just would have liked to see the humans get caught for the role they played in this, but that's just me. Lol
The characters fit well together. Even with them being Zombies and farming humans like cattle, you still can't help but to relate with them. I could DEFINITELY see using Ghvnn as a comic relief if you chose to take a more comical route with this. That's assuming, of course, that you decide to branch off of this in the future.
I can understand why you chose to throw the magnifying glass in there. It was a clever idea. Without it a couple of the choices wouldn't have been made available. However, that kinda takes away the "Choose Your Own Adventure" aspect of it. With that being said. Highlighting certain choices or (PATHS), as a reviewer suggested, to indicate which is the correct one to take is not only redundant, but would do the same thing. It's a "CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE" for crying out loud. If they wanna be told what to do, then they can get married or join the military. Don't listen to them. You're doing great!
I'm not much of a reader, but with the player having the ability to alter the outcome, it makes it more enjoyable. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these.

Btw, not sure if it really matters, but some of the in-game medals are still not registering. The outside ones here on NG are working perfectly.
Speaking of medals, I'm off to get my last one. The "You Made It This Far" medal keeps eluding me. Lol

Muja responds:

Thank you for your long and detailed review! I'll answer to each point:
- I'm glad you liked the endings but, hey (and here I'm going to shout a huge SPOIILERRRRR... the humans are trying to save the world! Have some respect for their main goal! lol
- Ghvnn has always been intended as the comic relief, and I'm glad he made you laugh
- What I got from those other reviews is that I need to make more clear *how* your choices affect the story; I think that's true and I'm working on that aspect in my next project.

And that brings us to the "branch off" part: a sequel is indeed in the making, and will be online in no more than a month on Newgroungs. It'll be titled "Zombie Dating Agency" and it'll take a very different (and comical) look at Zombie Society.

I hope I'll see you then :)

I do apologize for all of the recent questions on old games. But I was wondering how one would get "Worried Sidekick"? Does it have something to do with past game choices or what might it have to do with if you remember?
Thank you once more for making such wonderful games, and though this does feel a bit rushed it was still very good.
Though the ending does bring up more questions than answers. I would love to see more on One-Eye and Maro's relationship (and it One-Eye ever had a real name like Marco does) as well as how it's never been revealed to other zombies that the first "zombies" are humans. I
'm also curious about how long ago the zombie take over was. I appreciate seeing someone do a zombie uprise instead of a robot one, so thank you for that! Thank you for the beautiful story line as well.

Muja responds:

Your first question is very hard for me, because I really can't remember. It has something to do with your choices in previous episodes, and with your choice about violating the curfew or not... But I really can't help, sorry.

As for the other question... You probably already know, but Zombie Society is now a point & click series, and a desktop game will be released on Steam for Windows and Mac around February 2018.
That game will explore Margh's past, and provide the answers to almost all your questions.
Hope you'll have a chance to play it!

And thank you again for your nice review :)
