Reviews for "Cope"

It's a good game, on one hand, I liked the sense of humor, in a way reminiscent of Portal, and the voice acting, despite the audio problems you acknowledged, as well as the story, which, while it's straightforward, it's also interesting; on the other hand, the game is a little too linear and it really isn't too challenging and, no offense, this feels more like an "interactive movie", in the vein of Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls, rather than a proper game, maybe you should a few puzzles, simliar to point-n-click games, next time in order to make it more fun and long-lasting. Overall, it's an entertaining game, I'm looking forward to what happens next in the story.

The game was pretty good overall, with nice graphics and a pretty interesting plot. However, what got me was the lack of choices you could make (eg, when I tried not to hit the door button, I had no other choice but to; I couldn't change the screen). It was also too short, though the actions of patient 1307 (Or Dr White) was amusing, to say the least. I did not expect to chop off the bonsai's trunk. XD Good job with the game, hope to see more content soon!

Conceptually pretty interesting, a lot of potential.
However, and sorry if this seems a nitpick, but it is just entirely too "on the rails" for me. I especially hate when a game forces you to follow a single path and then decides to criticize you for following the path. I spent a good five minutes trying to figure out a way to help the girl and not leave through the front door, because, oh, I'm not a jerk, so I wanted to choose the good path. Tough crap, I have no choice, nothing else will work, so there's nothing else to do except to go through the front door like a chump, and immediately start hearing the computer chastise me some more for my "decision".

Don't get me wrong, I'm not just complaining that it's too simplistic. I get that this is a first game, and you did a lot with what you had. It's pretty impressive. But if I only have one path to follow, chill out on having the game tell me what an ass I am for following it. That gets old really quick.

I like the storyline and I like the simplistic design, but I hated that it ended where it did.

This game had a good story that was well developed for the length of the game. The gameplay was kind of unresponsive, I sometimes had to click multiple times to get the screen to respond.
