Easy yet addictive. I could probobly play this for hours.

IndoorOrnithology responds:

It's also on mobile if you want to take it with you on a bus or whatever. Thanks!

Game is ok when it comes to the art of making. Still it's more one-timer for me.

I wonder how much is it about skill and how much about luck. I dislike that in early stages you are forced to wait until next pipe appears - it's common flaw but soemthing like "add new pipe now" would be nice.

Thanks for the feedback. I originally designed this as something to play while listening to a podcast, so that's why the pace pretty slow at first, but I understand why you might find it to be too dull.

I got 26!!!! but it's a bit too boring for me to go for another round...

Interesting game. You are correct, the mechanics are simple enough but hard to put into words. It took me more than a few repetitions to be aware of the fact that the lines don't have to cross only perpendicular. Once I got that you could overlap corners it opened up a great number of new possibilities. Perhaps framing the instructions this way may help: Any given square has 4 sides and any given side can only have one pipe going into or out of it.

The time pressure element is a nice touch too. Stalling while you wait for whats in your way to vanish adds a layer to the game that gives it replayability. I know I found myself trying to narrowly operate in the window from when that one blue line I needed to vanish disappeared to when the timer on the orange line ran out.

I didn't see a way to backtrack once you had started a path and that cost me a few good games. I'm not sure if this was a design choice or an oversight. If there IS a way to backtrack a misstep, it would do well to highlight it in the tutorial. Alternately, if there IS NOT a way, pointing out that you have only the one chance in the tutorial would also be handy.

It is a good game, but I still feel it needs some more polish.

IndoorOrnithology responds:

Thanks for the review! I agree the tutorial could use some work, that's one of those things where you really need people who have never played it before to try it out before you know what works and what doesn't. You can backtrack your paths by just reversing and following the line you just drew until you are back where you want to be. You can also release the mouse to delete the whole path and start over.
