Reviews for "Misconnect"

Minimalistic Graphics and a twist to the old school game...
Nice!
But resolution is tooo big

IndoorOrnithology responds:

Glad you liked it!
In most browsers you should be able to make it smaller by pressing Ctrl -

Interesting concept, just not made for browsers. You'll really want to get the touchscreen version

IndoorOrnithology responds:

Yeah, it's definitely more fun on a tablet, although I think it might actually be a little easier with a mouse.

while the game itself its not bad, the way the new points that you've got to connect together is random. This makes your possibility of failure very high just because of dumb luck

IndoorOrnithology responds:

Actually, the game checks to make sure each pair of nodes is possible to connect given the current game state before dropping them. The only way to lose because of "dumb luck" is if you allow another pair to spawn before connecting one, and they happen to be in places where connecting one blocks the other, which is extremely rare. Don't forget that the paths can touch at corners!

Really liked this simple little game!
Nice aesthetic and good music.
The simple rules aren't very well explained, but enough that you can find out yourself what they are quite quickly.
The only thing I find a problem is that sometimes you die because you can't draw a pipe out of the exit node that just spawned, and die because of that. It feels like there was nothing you could have done to prevent that.
Some improvements you could make if you want:
-Better spawning algorithm so you get less deaths because of bad spawn
-difficulty selecter
- would love more pipes on a larger grid, since the fun part is connecting the pipes over and under eachother. larger grid => more pipes!

Thanks for making this, hope you get some feedback out of this review :)

IndoorOrnithology responds:

Thanks for the feedback! The spawning algorithm does still make mistakes on certain edge cases, but in order to fix those I would need to completely change the way it is programmed, which I could do, but it didn't seem worth it at the time. More customization options (speed, board size, etc.) are definitely something I'm thinking about adding, at least to the mobile version. Don't forget there are mods you can toggle from the home screen as well to shake it up a bit.

Feel like luck-based but fun
