Reviews for "The Finger Eater - Chapter 1"

I would hope that anyone who watches this could appreciate how well-crafted and high quality everything put into this was. High quality voice acting all across the board. Close up shots create a heavy and oppressive atmosphere that gives character to the locker and small room settings. The artist's great attention to detail in all the subtle animations like the lighting, head tilts, shifts in facial expressions, and hair movement keep everything feeling alive and non-static.

The story itself is more or less an introduction to the premise right now, but I feel that it also instills a sense of curiosity and dread as you wonder what Ruby has gotten herself into and how this could all go terribly wrong. I'm a bit biased towards slow buildups, so even at a lengthy (for a one-person animation job) 7 minutes I just found myself wanting to see more.

All in all, it was very refreshing. Or at least something I don't expect to see from an internet cartoon very often. I hope more things in the same vein as this are encouraged and promoted.

Thanks, Dangitang.

Very much enjoyed this! The whole creepy atmosphere was excuted perfectly! Kinda reminded me of the film starry eyes that came out last year!

Why not create something to cheer people up instead of this depressing, tiering, sad thing?

TheFabs responds:

Poor baby.

I love it but i have a hard time hearing her thoughts can we get some kind of subtitles ?

Like I have to tell everyone to shut up and silence the world in order to hear the voices.

YIIIIS. That was really good. my criticism would be that it feels a little curious that her upper lip would be larger than her lower lip. that's super uncommon. but if you intended it, it does look just fine, so no worries.

i really enjoyed the video, you did a great job making it.

TheFabs responds:

I suggest taking a look at Kat Dennings.
