Reviews for "Suzukisan (Subtitled!)"

Another one of these? Fine by me!

I've seen Yatta and Hyakugojuuichi and this is more of the same. But that's not a bad thing at all. The songs they use are really catchy and I like them. I don't care if anyone says they suck I still think they're cool songs. Good video too, if a bit strange. Subs were alright... But you don't really need them.

Well done...

This is an interesting one... seems to be about traing via link cable (Game Boy). The fact my favorite got mentioned was cool, except the trade was REALLY stupid... good thing she shot it down (who in their right mind would trade a Mew for a Voltorb, anyway?). Of course, having the subtitles in both languages (romanized Japanese and English) was another plus (shame you didn't also add in the actual Japanese...)

Only problem I see with the subtitling is the names... you simply used the Japanese ones. If you wish to fix this, use these names instead (the names used in the English part first, followed by the US names, and given in order used in the song):

Zenigame = Squirtle
Kabigon = Snorlax
Metamon = Ditto
Lizardon = Charizard
(Raichu was right on, but that's because the name's the same...)
Iwaku = Onix
Buriridama[sic] = Voltorb
Myuu = Mew
Monjara = Tangela
Betto-beto[sic] = Muk
Betobetaa = Grimer
Lucky = Chansey
Yadoran = Slowpoke
Nasshii = Exeggutor
Fushigidane = Bulbasaur
Kusaihana = Gloom
(Pikachu is also correct, for the same reason Raichu was)

Anyway, like my scores say, it's fine without taking my suggestion, but it'd be even better if you did...

Dwedit responds:

If I try to add Japanese text to a flash movie, I get a bunch of ????? question marks where the characters are supposed to be.
Also, the other version of Suzukisan I submitted to the site also has subtitles, you just have to turn them on. Making the subtitles was done long after the crazy fanimutation was complete.
I don't think I'll bother with the real pokemon names though. Sorry.

Very nice...

but what's the difference between this and the other Suzukisan Animutation you have here?

I really like it though... Great fake lyrics... :D

Dwedit responds:

There was an old version of Suzukisan submitted that didn't have that blue seek bar at the bottom. I made a tiny flash movie (less than 10k) that loaded the old flash, and added subtitles to it, and submitted it as this portal entry.

Then I added the blue bar to the original much later, and the subtitles could go there. Since there would be no use to removing this entry, I created another version of the new Suzukisan that was almost identical to the other one, except subtitles are on by default.

So this shouldn't even be here, but removing it would throw out all the reviews.

So guys, don't watch or review this version, go watch the real version (Animutation!), since both have subtitles anyway.

Oh, that's what they mean...

You have ruined it for me (I'M GONNA WATCH IT AGAIN!)

Nice.

This movie was eh... interesting, lol. But nontheless, it was pretty good!
