Sorry, this didn't do it for me. You know, I was promised Picross AND Dragons, so I expected there to be at least some cutscenes after each handful of levels, or maybe some crazy dragon animations whenever I got a square right, but that didn't happen. Instead, there's the introduction, and after that, picross level after picross level. And after I beat the game... it goes straight to the credits, no final cutscene, no nothing.
The level select screen got me confused as hell at first, because it only shows one level at a time, and all level screens look almost exactly the same before they're cleared (except the dragons change color), meaning I took a while to figure out that the levels I had already beaten were included to the left of the current unlocked level being shown on screen. A list of levels, or even a numbering of levels, would already help a lot in that matter. Also, the level select menu bugs out sometimes and lags a bit before responding to my clicks.
I do love the retro music, though. I can give it that, and the fact that I like Picross a lot too. The controls in this Picross game manage to be even worse than those of Armor Picross. You know, it would be cool if we could hold a key in our keyboard that would change our click type between paint/erase/X instead of having to click the panels all the time.
That not to mention every level is stupidly easy, it doesn't amount to a challenge at all, it feels like I'm just doing redundant paperwork most of the time.
I'm sorry, this game is not very good. Giving it 2 stars for the music and for being at least a functioning Picross puzzle. The greatest challenge of the game is being to find that hidden rocket, actually.
