Reviews for "Stick Squad"

i hit r for reload over and over and it does nothing so i cant even get past the first mission.

Well. At least it's fun enough for the first few minutes. But after that it gets really. Eh. Old. Right off the bat and you're introduced this voice acting that is awful. Sounds like it was recorded through a tin can. And secoundly you're faced with the difficulty of having your mouse just slide off the game screen. Which makes shooting at targets near the edge of the game almost impossible. It's fun. But flawed.

I Don't Understand The Physics In This Game, I Shot Three Bullets Of The Last Sniper Into Someone's Head And He's Not Dead Yet.

Havin' a hoot so far. At level 10 and suggest that it's not a game problem, but a player one.
Calibrate the scope, shoot the radio, guy comes out after a while, pop him in the head and get 3 stars. Easy peasy.

Much enjoyment with this simple, yet somewhat challenging stick dude game.

So, I honestly didn't think too much of this game going in. Games like this are kinda meh to me. That said, I think this was pretty well executed for what it is. The art was not distracting, and did its job well. I appreciate the voice acting, although I do think they were a bit overdone sometimes.

I played through the entire game and got all the stars. Mission 10 wasn't bad per se, though I had to figure out which way to turn to calibrate for wind (I guess it's clear enough). In fact, I really liked the addition of the music, which I think was a really clever and subtle game design choice. The speedboat mission was a bit confusing, since I was like.. WHY WON'T YOU DIE?!! The last mission I lost several times before I realized that I was just supposed to wait until I had killed everyone for a couple seconds. I kept waiting for the mission to end and shooting the Foster dude a couple more times to see if something else would happen.

Anyway, being able to skip the opening cutscenes, perhaps some better integration of the scope calibration into more of the game, some tweaking of the non-sniper rifles and how their design fits into the larger game, and some more game design hints into some of the levels might be good changes.

Overall, I liked it, so well done.
