worth a chuckle,very good animation and likeable characters. i actuly thought this would suck at first but thanks for proveing that wrong

I don't get the extremely high rating (no really, someone, please explain), the animation and art was meh, there wasn't much detail, or any jokes, it was slow paced, mediocre voice-acting, no music.

I was actually surprised to see so many people liked it that much myself. Newgrounds kinda has this rep for being the go-to place for crude humor and snappy timing, so I didn't think my slower, innocent cartoon would be well-received. I'm glad I was wrong.
I suppose people might like it because it's just cute, maybe? That's what I keep hearing. People tell me they expected some sick or juxtaposed punchline, but I never gave it to them; I played it straight through and through. Maybe they thought it was funny that I didn't do it? Kind of like that bit from Pirates of the Caribbean 4, where Jack tricks Blackbeard into drinking the wrong chalice by offering him the actual chalice? Something like that.
Maybe they liked it because it doesn't try too hard, but also doesn't overstay it's welcome? It's only about a minute and a half and doesn't require a lot of investment. It's about some egg dude making shadow puppets. No grand arc or anything. Nothing loud or obnoxious to grate on people's nerves or anything like that.
But I'm just spit-balling here. These are my guesses based on overall feedback.
As for the music, I'm pretty sure it was in there. It's a little quiet though. I might recommend using headphones?
This one makes me very happy. Reminds me of when things were fun and not about money.
