This has potential! I'm digging the music style and the pacing of this episode; however, there doesn't seem to be enough exposition to let me know what's going on. The tree, for example, All the characters are looking at the tree and I'm just sitting in front of the screen, confused. I know that there is an expository dialogue that tries to fix this issue but it doesn't really answer enough of the questions: What's up with this tree? What about this tree physically that is so particularly astonishing?(There tons of big trees everywhere) and also why was the tree emitting such a heat signature. This was cool to watch, but there isn't enough story here and could definitely be a lot denser.

Why. D: Couldn't you make them, I dunno, optional (turn on/off) or something?
Not interesting at all for first episode. I did not get a single clue what this is all about, and that clue is needed to make me watch later episodes, not just explosion on the end.
What is the main idea? I think I need to know that in first episode.
There were one or two cool gags, like when the guy plays "Dario". I liked that scene.
Animation is very well for my expectations and I like it. There are not many moves, which is fine.
Seriously, they get totally blown away by a fecking tree?
