Great animation, the character art designs are actually quite good and beautifully drawn, made better with the bold outlines. Also the characters themselves may seem like normal teens at first glance but actually have more and more distinctive features about them, making them seemingly like normal yet looking quite different than normal teens giving them a different feel. Also, I like their interesting and funny personalities at times.
Also, after watching a lot of your other animations, I actually thinks that your current character artstyle design is quite good after improvements, but I actually personally that you should focus more the background design and more logical character movements such as when they are walking or part where Rat got picked up seem very legit, even though this animation's background seem more decent designed and 3Dish as compared to your past works, but I still felt legit in my opinion when mixed with the 2D characters but I won't be too much to bothered by it, even if you continue using the 3D backgrounds.
Also, I don't actually think that the current voice acting are bad as to what others think, I think it's actually quite clear and syched as compared to your past works, the characters seem to be able to bring more emotions to their voice too, making them even more distinct with the other characters. Also the background music for it is actually quite good at adding to the mood and making the story more interesting and exciting at times too.
Now for the story, the story's pacing is actually quite decent and normal in my opinion just like any anime I watched. But sadly, it's not for some other impatient people with short attention span. I story itself is quite normal, though there are some limitations, but the storyline plot itself seem to have improved and more understandable as compared to your past works. Also, aside from some of the humours in it, I actually think that the animation is more up to the daily lives of five teens or exciting slice of life genre. Speaking of which, I actually don't mind all the characters being males, after all, it's more on the teenagers messing around and have fun, excitement and adventure and having some jokes among themselves as friends normally. Sadly some other people who watched too much adult animation around to think otherwise. What I am mainly disappointed about is that I was actually expecting the characters be caught into some mystery, abnormal or detectivelike situations, after the suspenseful background music was played. ( I wasn't expecting action anyway since it seem more on normal teen lives animation). So overall of the story, I think is quite normal and decent with exciting times here and there, just like any typical teenage daily life animation or even better. Also, the tree part was actually quite beautiful designed, truly brings out a lot on your 3D designing skill that time, though I was actually expecting something else there. Also, the animation and the mainly storyline have potential to continue to be better.
I have also watched a lot of your other animations, I like how you tend to keep staying optimistic towards the other negative reviews. Really hope I can get some brush of your optimism, especially these days, where people on the site tend to be quite pessimistic and bigoted.
Also, pardon my long reviews and blunders, even though I actually still want to have more to say but I think I'll stop here, since even I felt that I have reviewed too much. Anyway, Great job there.

Seems really promising, the jokes are not the greatest but they did make me laugh.
Everyone said what I would of said, but it is the first episode and these always tend to get better.
Can't wait for the next episode, it actually did amazing job of grabbing at my curiosity about the tree and stuff.
Well, the writing was thoroughly lackluster. The backgrounds need work. Some of the voice acting needs to be improved (casting is fine, just better takes, I think). The animation is a tad rough. But, growing pains are kind of a part of projects like these so I won't hold its flaws against it. It did a good job introducing the characters which isn't always easy to do and the story is interesting while also leaving a lot of room to make it even more interesting. It has a lot of potential. All in all, very good pilot episode but, the series needs some improving.
