Reviews for "Nobody Said It Was Easy"

This game is hard if you don't plan your move properly. There are only 2 basic controls and yet the difficulty is there. The platforms are creative enough to make you stop and think for your next move. Its lucky enough you didn't implement the life system.

Overall, its an okay game and it is fun for awhile until frustration takes its toll.

If anyone interested, I made a lets play on this game feel free to watch it.

It's not a terrible effort as 'retro' games go, and I like the sound. But the only reason it ISN'T easy is because of the intentionally god-awful controls. I don't like this. There's something cynical about it. I love difficult platformers, but I can't shake the feeling of this one's difficulty being artificial.

The game is fun but for some reason i keep bugging out. My guy never stops moving no matter what i do. He keeps running and running. I can hit space and jump just fine while moving, but even without the ctrl key held down he keeps running off the cliff. I have wiped my cookies tried different browsers and every thing else i can think of. I know is not my ctrl key either as i have tried various keyboards. the music is nice, but for some reason i have a major bug. fix it and this would be much funner.

not good.... It could have been fun if the controls would work properly. Sometimes when pressing jump and run at the same time run gets stuck and the character kills himself. That's a big problem on levels where the floor disappears when ran over and you have to jump to get stars. Music wasn't very good either.

Hard as hell.
REALLY.
Near the end of World 3.
I still don't like it and no amount of really really pleasant music will not deter this opinion. Although it does have that nice dittle that I like when playing these.

Graphics are pixels, but this is small so it's to be expected.

But, the level design,
I feel like you either deliberately broke some common rules I'm not aware of, or did it on accident.
There's no help.
You run too fast and it's so imprecise.
And a lot of the game is based on precision and planning,
Some stars are just suicidally hard.
Worst,
Worst,
Worst, of all. Constancy.
Attempting the same string of movements is near impossible with the set-up. And on some levels is impossible due to how jerky the controls can be.

So really, My main point is that the movements are too quick for them to be that precise.
It kinda broke the game for me.
I do find it frustrating to not move in either direction, but that's what you built the game around.
I may not like it, but some of the puzzle designs are really well done, although some seem a little slapdash too.
Average really, not absolutely terrible, but I wouldn't call it good.
