Alone: Meditate Existence

Really, the title isn't lying, because you cant even get past the first ledge because of the awful mechanics.
All you have left is to meditate existence next to the ledge, and fall and fall and fall...

Near the beginning I wanted to give up, but decided that I couldn't write a decent review if I didn't at least try to finish it. So I tried to finish it. At first it was frustrating as hell, but as I got past more and more obstacles and the sunk cost fallacy set in, it began to feel more like those old 8-bit and 16-bit games with unforgiving difficulty and somewhat-cryptic events. But then I came to the second resting house and saw the 11% connecting thing and dreaded the houses I had to reach before I got to, presumably, 100%. Despite that, I decided to push on maybe for a few more screens. By then I had a system where after each obstacle I had to take a breather so I wouldn't have to recuperate for a few months due to what looked like majorly bad eczema. My patience was wearing thin at this point so I decided to try the medicine, and nope didn't much help. And that's where I decided that I wasn't that much of a masochist.

1 stars for having the balls to submit an experimental game, I guess.

This is broken beyond playability!

This game is a mung one of the worst games I've played while on the portal. The game starts off with some messages telling you that you are using a machine that's going to put you asleep for the rest of your life, which doesn't sound half bad. following the introduction you agree to the procedure where the machine administers morphine into your body. Shortly after this you are given a flashing green, and purple screen while the message "Error" blinks a few times before you're actually playing.

It starts off like an average platformer game, having to jump from block to block, etc. However you soon get to a few points where the jump is impossible to make, assuming you didn't fall of right away because the controls are rather slippery. After two, or three failures you're sent to a monochromatic world where the main character can't seem to do anything with out falling over on his face which eventually turns him into a bloody mess. You then have to wait a set amount of time for your character to heal before he stands back up to repeat the process. After a while you will come across a sign labeled with the letter "R" pressing this will make your character sit down and take a few breathes, however this does nothing unless you are in a house which you find much later after the first "R" sign. The Shift key is another button that I'm not sure what it does. Upon pressing the shift key your character will either fall over, or a green box next to the characters face will disappear.

After the house you're greeted with a "connecting 2.9%" message, however this is only if you rest twice which I don't see the point, as you seem to function just the same even if it is high. I can't say much else beyond this point as I lost patience with the game and stopped plating shortly after the house area where my day counter broke.

All around I would say this game has a lot of potential, however the current amount of bugs present barely make the game playable, much less enjoyable.
