Reviews for "Bunker Down 2030"

It's a good concept, but I agree with the reviewer below who complained that you are always reacting to events, not ever able to prepare for them. Also, I've played it through a couple times and the events are not in any way random - it's the same things on the same weeks every time, so there's no real replay value. I also agree with that reviewer that it is extremely frustrating always having to put two people on food every week, never being able to catch up in mechanical and ammo. Fantastic concept, fun game the first time through, I would love to see a sequel, but this one is just a little sub-par.

KoberGirl responds:

Yeah this was for a game jam and I ran out of time to make lots of random stuff. There are a few random results built into the choice questions. I think I made a decent base but will build on the concepts and add more gameplay interaction. Thanks for the feedback!

I love it. Can't wait to see what you make next! If you make a sequel how about having a hard mode? Then, if you beat it in hard mode, you get an alternate ending.

KoberGirl responds:

Thanks! I plan on working on this concept more and building on what I have. It can be so hard to balance games. Some think it's too easy, the others too hard. A tricky thing to please everyone, but I'll think about different difficulty modes for the future!

The story is good but there should be more ways to use points

boring and repetitive

I.... I don't understand why people are having such a hard time with this. I lost the last of my morale ON the 30th week my first game... which honestly shouldn't have ended it. Not cool. The second time around, I finished with 3/4 morale, easy. Once to realize that the first survivor in each room only garners 1 point of whatever and the others get 2, it becomes very obvious that placing the survivors to maximize points per turn is the correct way to go. Only got 3 food left? So what? DON'T place anyone on food, you'll run out and lose a single point of morale, but you'll gain two points of guns or maintenance, which will matter more in the long run to avoid a larger loss of morale on the following turns. The ending is fantastic, btw. Way to take the piss out of the preppers. XD

KoberGirl responds:

Thanks! And yep you are right. Maximize your points by putting more people on the job. 1 worker = 1 point, 2 = 3, 3 = 4, 4 = 7. Although it doesn't work for Morale. ;)
