Reviews for "The Mind"

hate this kind of games since cool spot goes to hollywood. but you still rocks though

To be honest, this game played a lot like Fez, which is a fantastic game. But the problem is that it failed where Fez had success. The level design was wonky and the perspective made it even harder to figure out whether or not I would land on a platform that looked almost right next to me. The music was... probably the best part about it. The enemies were counter-intuitive and I think on level 7? they even invaded the start point, which in my opinion, should be a "safe zone". The Levels were short and did nothing for me, other than be mildly frustrating. 0/10 would not recommend, and frankly, if this is your pitch for another game, I would not even deign to play that game even if it was free.

I really love the art style, however, it makes it a bit difficult to see where I am going to land after jumping/falling. I couldn't get past level 3, which was probably entirely my fault but the perspective thing doesn't help me much.

The music is simple, but I think it fits the game very well!

really good game
and the music is soo good
nice choise
5/5

Nice concept and take on the 3D platformer. A couple of notes:

- Music is great.
- Sound effect make sense and are a welcome addition.
- In the game description, please include a note that you can double-jump. That would help with several of the comments listed below.
- The platforms look out of place at times. Maybe a rotating camera view would help with some of the platforming problems.
- You have a tendency to slip off of edges. If you are anywhere near an edge, you go into the water.
- Controls on the whole work fine. Diagonal jumping can be a chore, since you are trying to enter 3 commands at once on a keyboard.

Overall, it's a solid teaser. It's short, has some movement issues, but it's an interesting playthrough,
