This game, it makes me want to murder people.
Lets start with the good things:
Music is nice and fitting.
The graphics are cute.
And now for the murder bits:
Controls are slippery, even when not on ice.
Enemies ran on the starting block and proceeded to murder me a dozen times before I could escape.
Sometimes it wouldn't let me double jump, I would jump once then plummet into the water/sky and then respawn.
I wont bother mentioning the Esher-esq landscape and how painful it was, because it could be fun, BUT you have to be able to tell the "layers" of the background and foreground.
I would recommend:
To either make the movement grid based or the area on which you walk larger(at least double the character size at all times).
Make the sides of the tiles progressively darker/brighter depending on where they are located in space.(it will definitely make they layout less confusing and easier to navigate)
Other than that I liked it! Hope your next project goes better!
