It's a valid question. Just one more in an endless list of reasons to think there's no god out there. It's just us humans.
Get rid of religion, and we'll get rid of 90% of the reasons for the bigotry and bloodshed on this planet.

Ever since this tradgedy, it has appalled me how much it has been abused as a spring-board for theocratic propoganda. Not two weeks after the incident, I was bombarded at school with pamphlets telling me that this was "God's way of saying to convert." Riiiiiiight... a loving, all caring God kills three thousand odd people just to prove a point. The whole Christian dogma is so out of proportion at this point it's not even funny. What kind of a follower worships the instrument of torture that their savior was masacred on? Does this make any sense? Then again, does anything in the Christian faith make any sense? After all these years, it's basically become a bunch of meaningless rituals that have lost all spiritual significance. The basic principles of the faith, the ones that make sense, like be a good neighbor, be nice to one another, have been completely forsaken in detailed and often totemic worship. Thus, it's great for me to be able to sit here, me, a declared agnostic living in the middle of the Bible belt, and log onto my computer to see such an intelligent satire. Reginald Finley, I salute your intellect. Please don't let these shallow minded people prevent you from spreading your wisdom. On a positive note, religion is notably on the decline, and maybe the day when it's totally abolished isn't far off.
Truthful & Thought Provoking
This film is under-rated because of it's controversial content. It seems that there is a Christian Talaban in this country that works overtime to hush the voices of those that do share their beliefs. This film was made with the intent to question your beliefs. At the end it asks you to discuss it with them and gives you a link to their message boards to do just that. If you have the proof of God's existance, please click the link & share the proof with them instead of leaving negative reviews and comments here. I thought this movie was original, thought provoking and quite humorous. Rate it on it's technical merits and not based on your prejudices against those that don't share your beliefs. That is why 9-11 happened. People lashed out against a country who did not impose Islam on it's citizens.
If you find yourself lashing out against athiests, you are no better than the terrorists that destroyed buildings, and lives in the name of their religious beliefs.
