Reviews for "Hanoka"

I like the concept and the way your worked with it. But I don't think this game really blows me away. The main problem is the curve of the difficulty. You are way too squishy to deal with the water part, but once you get certain abilities you're like a psychopath with an infinite ammo shotgun and you slaughter the demons up to stage 6.
I think this could be an epic concept to put into an overworld and have you explore multiple waters in order to find treasures or bosses. Maybe you should overlook it again and think what you can do with it and maybe I'll be one of the many who is willing to buy this from sources like Steam then.
By the way, the abilities that make this game way to easy are the "Float" and "Reload"

yea i know man, but in 48 hours theres way too little time for testing.
I'm probably not going to build upon this concept. at least not in the near future.
got lots of new ideas to try!

This game has an incredibly simple concept that doesn't suddenly fall off the end unlike most games. The fact that this was made in only two days in an attestment to your ability to do good work. I highly recommend that you either improve on this game or just make one similar to it with a few new mechanics. The only real thing that I could find that made this game slightly less enjoyable was that the screen shake caused a lot of lag within the game itself, making it very choppy at some parts and at times, ruining my experience. Other than that, everyone else shares the same idea that there should be more to the game. I beg to differ as the bosses vary in their "abilities" if you will (an example would be how bosses vary in water and air speed, diving and even tracking forcing m to alter my approaches to only avoid them but the mass of other spirits that would just decide to bumrush me). The music and art style in the game adds to the atmosphere of the player actively participating in a folktale which made me get a little excited during boss fights. Keep up the good work, I look forward to something new and/or improved from you that is NOT in the span of 48 hours.

I love the game. the game play is fun even though it's hard to beat. I had fun with it. Also, don't forgot to give credit in your description for using the Yoshida Brothers music. I dont want you to get sued for making a good game, but forgetting to give music credit to the right people X3

Guy-Unger responds:

oh dang, i should really do that : O

Even the better version is very glitchy... but a good idea for a game.

why did the game end when i only killed 3 monsters?
