I must say that this was a beautiful game! My experience while playing it was just amazing! I think I loved the character and landscape designs the most! The music was also very pretty, too! In my opinion I thought the noise of the water was very serene, I think that it added that needed touch. Now. Seeing how this is a review this might seem a bit off topic but I'll get back to talking about the game in just a second. Anyway, near the beginning of the game I decided to turn up the volume. I instantly heard a "click clack" whenever my character jumped or moved. I paused for a second, just looking at my avatar, and then said, "is she a horse?" It makes sense, seeing how she has ear-like points on her head and, if you look closely, has a horse type body. So, I just wanted to ask, is she a horse? I don't know if you already covered what animal (I know, not too important) she was but I'm going to ask anyway, just in case. OK, getting back to the topic. So I hope you guys are planning to make a continuation of The Valley Rule. (If you guys haven't already.) Maybe it can be an adventure in which she's outside? Anyway, it was a very beautiful and well-created game for being made in only 72 hours!
I don't know about you but I seem to really enjoy pixel games! Their visual simplicity helps me to focus on the plot and my goal. It's also easier to not get distracted because I'm not busy looking at the insignificant surroundings. Don't get me wrong, I still love detailed games, but a lot of pixel games tend to have very good plots , probably because they can be very easy to create if you know the art technique. In the end Everyone should definitely give this game a try! It didn't get its' four star rating for nothing!
I hope my review helped you guys out! Thank you for reading it! I usually don't work very hard on my reviews but I guess I wanted this one to be "professional". Wow, being "professional" takes a Long time! Anyway, I hope you can enjoy this game as much as I did! Have a nice day!
