Reviews for "Idle Planet"

4 stars because I love the concept of shaping a planet and getting points based on what's on it.

However, there's a lot of flaws in the game. First of all is the lack of information about what on earth is going on. A basic tutorial could be a great way to answer the following:
Why does the blue tick bar (under Planet Points) move at different, seemingly random speeds? What is its effect on the world generation?
What are the effects of fauna and flora? On forests? And settlements?
Why do forests sometimes disappear?
What effects on the world generation does buying upgrades for grass/forests/rainforests have?
Why can villages sometimes evolve into cities on their own, but never (seemingly) into modern cities without the aid of clicking?

Other than that, the zoom could be designed better. Using the mouse wheel scrolls the page, and it's only possible to zoom in on the centre of the world, not an area near the poles.

Great game, but as mentioned below, some good explanations would be much better.

Also, at a certain point (roughly 10M/sec), clicking on the planet makes it lag, so you accumulate resources faster by not doing anything... ?!

I feel as though some things are too high priced. Like the city is 5 million points, well I have 1,150 per click so thats nearly 5,000 clicks just to get the first one. Also would be nice to know what certain things do like what humidity does to the environment, aswell as fauna, flora and population. But my real issue is the overpriced upgrades.

Did anyone else know you can rotate the planet? I found it to be a neat little surprise.

Was caught off guard by the entertaining stupidness of clicking constantly to get upgrades. XD Like Zoo Tycoon and Cookie Clicker, but with a sense that you're creating an actual colony from ants to today to the future! I enjoyed it, and the only thing I'd work on is more upgrades. A excellent simulator!
